Dreamscape F.A.Q.

How do you make progress in Dreamscape? What are buildings?
  1. To make progress in Dreamscape, you need to upgrade the buildings on your dwell. 
  2. Buildings help you to expand your dwell further and defend against other players in challenges. Each type of building has its own unique properties and abilities that you can learn about in the game.
  3. Upgrading buildings requires resources called Miraj and Imaginanium that are earned by answering questions correctly. Every building starts at level 1 and every upgrade increases its level.
  4. The most important building for progressing your dwell is the Vision Core, which is the blue crystal. It determines the maximum level you can upgrade the rest of your buildings to and unlocks more buildings when upgraded.

  1. Players can challenge their classmates or other players’ dwells. In a challenge, you take your Reveries to another player’s dwell and try to take down their Vision Core. 
  2. Reveries are the troops you take into challenges to break down buildings. You must first train them in the Hatch before you can take them on challenges.
  3. Protecting your vision core is essential when it comes to defense. Defeating the vision core on a dwell is an automatic win for the challenger.

  1. There is a player leaderboard and a class leaderboard. Players and classes are ranked based on the number of leaderboard points they have. Leaderboard points can be earned through correct answer streaks, leveling up your buildings or by winning challenges.

  1. Rewards are primarily earned by answering questions correctly and making progress on your dwell. 
  2. Dreamscape rewards behaviors that promote learning such as: streaks of 5 correct answers, answering 15 questions correctly with the time boost for double the progress, 5 correct answers to start a challenge, and so on.
  3. Dreamscape seasons are a great example of this. Every season, Dreamscape introduces a new line of thematic rewards that players can only get during that season. When a new season starts, their progress resets so players need to keep answering questions to earn the new rewards. The learning never ends!

  1. Imaginanium and Miraj are the main resources in Dreamscape and they are used to upgrade buildings and thus progress you through the game. These resources are directly earned by answering questions correctly.
  2. MCoins are the main currency in Dreamscape and they are used to buy things from the shop such as: avatars, building skins, pets and more. MCoins are earned by making progress in the game and through correct answer streaks.

  3. Remind the class that you will be reviewing their progress and/or that you have assigned an Assignment that you will be using for their grades. Players can see when they are in an assignment in the question window.
  4. Play a Class Mission. Players are encouraged to answer correctly because incorrect answers have penalties in this collaborative class game. Class Missions are timed so players are highly encouraged to focus on answering correctly.
